Bet you haven't seen one of these in a while. We ran across this antique at an RV park near Denver, Co. There's something a little ironic about using our cell phones while inside this one. Gone are the good ole days of being incommunicado. Does anyone else have memories of grandmother making sure you had a dime for the phone?
How about seeing how many BFF's you could fit in one? We just had the two so actually not that hard. If you grew up with these you knew true freedom. Kids these days have no clue. We were untouchable. Teens now can be tracked instantly, how on earth do they still manage to get in so much trouble? If your family had one car and you were the lucky one to get off with it they just had to wait til you got back. No calling on a cell and instant messaging. Yep, these dinosaurs are a blast from the past for sure.
Where I grew up we even had a party line... in other words we shared a phone with all the houses on the block. Oh, the horror. Today every 9 year old has a thousand dollar I Phone. So much for progress. Even though we are more easily connected than ever we are far more distant. Just saying!
