April 11th 2019 I picked up my new rig at Clinton Missouri and traveled down a couple of hundred miles to the Branson area, a short trip to get used to it. My motorhome wa 40 feet and this is 44 feet plus the truck. The top middle picture shows the flag sticking straight out, strong winds and I'm trying to outrun bad weather so I don't want to stick around.
Holy Cow!!! the ups and downs of the hills, grrrrrrrrr. But I finally made it nd stayed the night, booked two. Taking today to get the rig all situated, and I love it!!!! Boo really loves the couch and the bed is shorter for a fat-boy to get up on that!  I made this collage today, I still need to sell the motorhome to be able to pay off the toy hauler and go pick it up. It seems that when you have plans many things conspire to make it difficult. I needed to make this to keep my spirits up as I face adversity. It's crazy- over 1500 people have viewed my ads for the motorhome, I have lowered the price over and over and it is priced way below NADA. All I can think is people think its too good to be true or they just can't get financing. I've had just a couple of tire kickers and some people wanting me to finance.
Anyway.. I have to keep up my persistence ad follow up every day with my ads. Meanwhile I'm stuck here, my journey is on hold and it's depressing. I did take Boo out for a bluebonnet picture, created a twitter account, got on linkedin...keeping busy.  Goodbye to my buddy... moving up to a truck and trailer so He had to go. I will miss him! His new big brother towed him home.  Big Bro is getting some Mods... to tow this bad boy!  Bit the bullet, bought a toy hauler for the room... 13 foot toy box to make into an office. 3 queen size beds, 1 twin, and sofa... room for friends.
NOW I gotta sell the motorhome and the jeep- it won't tow the 5th wheel! It also won't fit in a toy hauler...so... gonna get a Can Am Spyder- 3 wheel motorcycle to make up for the loss of my Jeep. That won't tow it either so I gots to get a 1 ton truck. Got an ad in RVT.com and Craigslist... wish me luck! |
